You've been asked to design the fabric for a table cloth. The clients are in their late 50s and want to recreate the 1960s in their new home. The table cloth must look like a design pattern from the 1960s. What shapes, colors and other elements would you put together for this client. Remember, they won't pay you if it doesn't match what they've requested.... and you need to pay your rent!

The table cloth should hold the shapes of a flower all around it, and holding warm colors such as white, yellow, red, orange, ect... Another thing to include repeating shapes or colors in a simple patern but not to much to where a single piece stands out unless its the center pience.

I would probably make the table cloth include the most common colors used in the 1960s such as pinks, greens or yellows. The colors would have to have repetition with whatever shape I decided to use, which would probably be flowers of some sort, or maybe a phrase that is related to what was happening back then.

What I first think of is shapes, triangles, squares, etc. I would make them all different funky colors and align them to make a Aztec, 1960s kind of patteren.

I will make it look colorful because in the 1960's they used a lot of colors, besides that I will try to put some shapes like ( guitar, a hat ) that has the name of the restaurant with the same font of the 1960's !

The table cloth should have the shapes of flowers and peace signs all around repeating its self. The colors needs to be really bright warm colors such as yellow, red , orange, and etc. Everything on the table cloth will be repeating so it will really pop out.

I'd go with some flowery shapes with big wide curves. The colors I'd use would probably include both warm and cool colors: yellows, oranges, greens, light blues, anything that looks like it'd fit into a tie-dye pattern. I'd go with something of a repeated pattern of either where I used the color on each flower and where I put said flowers. I wouldn't want the thing to be too loud, it's only a tablecloth after all.

I would make the back round design on the table cloth tie-dye with some groovy flowers all over the cloth, an the colors would be pink, orange, and yellow(they would be light colors of course) then if they wanted some quotes or words on it, i'd have the quote, "peace, man," and the letters would be green and blue.

The design would have to be bright.. It wouldn't have to involve flowers, but should have some kind of flow to the piece. Either it being squares or not. It should be a bright color, mainly using some kinds of complimentary colors. There doesn't need to be any complex designs or ridiculous lines, or exaggeration of value.

I would cover in a ton of randomly sized flowers, peace signs, etc, all in very bright warm colors that stand out. The background could be filled with just random lines and other shapes, again in various bright colors.
Michael Tran

The cloth should be simple with no more than 3 colors, without any too complicated details

For this client in particular I would use a lot of bright vivid colors like pinks, greens, and purples then I would use a lot of organic shapes to give it that hand drawn feeling. I feel like color is very important in this piece as well as line.

a lot of bright colors and symbols, possibly a psychedelic vibe, and a lot of flower shapes, accompanied by a lot of crude drawings and a sense of waviness in the cloth.

Table cloth should have lines and square patterns. With lots of colors which really represent the 60s style. With a vast full of colorful blossoms on top in the center of the table.
