A lot of contrast and movement, I saw mostly primary colors that he worked with. I think that the rugged, rough edged look, really makes up the David Carson design. I see a lot of big text, kind of messy and over the place, but looking orderly at the same time.

the why that i see him making his images is using words with an image backdrop, and the colors all complement one another.

He uses a lot of contrast in the majority of his pieces and has a rather unique way of placing his text to where you can still read it (to some extent) even if it's scattered across the piece. He seems to mostly use primary and secondary colors along with black and white and tends to use rough or ragged textures on some of his piece that gives it the look as if it's been ripped out of something.

I see a lot of manipulation of text. While a few particular pieces seem to be pretty colorful, most of his work seems to follow a small color palette. A lot of the textures used give me a hand-painted kind of feel. Overall most of his designs seem almost thrown on the page yet they're still appealing.

What I see in his work is a bunch of different kinds of patterns and different colors with the same images which is very abstract though.

He uses a random element but in an ordered fasion. He makes it seem Like there is a sence of random-ness but its all in an ordered fashion. He uses from a large variety of colors on one page and dull colors on another. They all look amazing with the text he uses as well. maybe thats why it seems a bit random in an orderly fashion...

I constantly see warm-like colors. The choice of colors is interesting, and looks almost sloppy... Or... Dirty looking. Like browns and natural, rusty tones.

it seems like the style avoids unity and has stuff all over the place. Lots of gray shading or black and white. It kinda seems like an aged or tampered piece of art or document.
